HCL were back on another work site this week to view the first piles being wrapped with our Pile Wrap System (PWS) on Wightlink’s Lymington jetty. A challenging pile wrapping job (raker and vertical) as the ferries come and go as often as every 45 minutes requiring the contractors to vacate the pontoons during docking and un-docking.
In addition the tidal heights under the jetty create interesting access conditions. Of course that’s where the PWS system comes into it’s own as the job can be temporarily held during ship movements etc. with no detrimental effect.
